diving in

I really did hold out as long as possible.
After all, the last thing I wanted was to be yet another one of the "me too" bloggers determined to post the inane details of their personal lives for all to scrutinize. ("Current mood: slightly miffed.") And it's not as if I have a particular political, social or technical agenda to push, or enough spare time to go head to head with the Boing Boings of the world.
But lately, I've been noticing all of the interesting things going on with social software/sites like Flickr, del.icio.us and now Flock, and this is as good a way as any to get my feet wet.
Of course, calling this an experiment exempts me from having to come up with a clear mission statement for the kind of content that will show up here, so if for whatever reason you're reading this, I hope you find something that interests you.
