Who's Afraid of Thomas Wolfe?

Last week I read that my old house in California, which I bought in 1999 for $515,000 and sold in 2002 for $675,000, sold again this February for a ridiculous $965,000. I guess the saying is true: even if you did want to go home again, who could afford it?
