Just in case you start to put too much stock into what internet art critics and photo experts say...someone came up with the brilliant idea of posting one of Henri Cartier-Bresson's most famous photos to the "DeleteMe!" group on Flickr, where people vote whether a picture is worth saving or not. The comments are priceless: "put the camera on a tripod [..] without that, the image will never fly."

Proof that you shouldn't worry too much about popular opinion, especially when it comes from internet "experts". Maybe if Henri had redone the shot as a 5-exposure HDR...
