Speaking of photos..

Last week I got an email from a couple from Washington, D.C. who had come to Barcelona and had their camera gear stolen within 30 minutes of arriving. They bought a disposable camera to take snapshots during the rest of their trip, but were really disappointed over being in a city like Barcelona without a proper camera. They very kindly asked if they could print out a few of my Flickr shots as a reminder of the places they'd seen; in turn, I offered to visit a couple of the places they'd missed photographing to take some shots for them. As I explained to them, sometimes living in a photogenic place can make you forget how many good shots there are around you as you go about your daily routine, and it's good to have the occasional motivation to get out and shoot.

Long story short, last Saturday I went out to the Sagrada Familia and spent a few hours getting some typical tourist pictures, while at the same time trying to find a few less-photographed angles, which isn't an easy task with one of the world's most-photographed buildings. The full set is online at Flickr now, so you can judge for yourself whether I managed it or not.
