All Photographers Now
A few weeks ago I submitted some pictures to a museum exhibition in Lausanne, Switzerland called "We are all photographers now!". The idea was simple but clever: the museum had set up a video projector and a website to allow people to submit their photos to be displayed in the museum. The theme of the show was the effect that digital technology has had on photography, and based on the fact that 40,000 photos had been submitted by the time I uploaded mine, it looks like it's been a success.
Yesterday I got an email with snapshots of the five pictures I submitted on display in the museum, along with the dates and times of each one. Even though there are thousands of other pictures on display, it's still cool to see your photos on a museum wall.
Since we're planning on stopping in Lausanne in April as part of our Swiss-Italian road trip, there's a good chance I'll be able to see the exhibition in person. Maybe I'll submit a few more beforehand, on the very slight chance that they'll pop up while we're there.
